Job Overview
The Digital Museum Curator will be responsible for developing and implementing the museum’s digital strategy, including the creation of online exhibitions, digital collections, and educational resources. The successful candidate will have a strong background in museum studies, cultural heritage, and digital technologies, and will be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including curators, educators, and technical staff.
The Digital Museum Curator will be responsible for working closely with the museum’s curatorial team to develop and implement online exhibitions and digital collections, and will work with the education team to develop educational resources and programs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the museum’s digital assets, including images, videos, and other digital content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the museum’s digital strategy, including the creation of online exhibitions, digital collections, and educational resources
- Work closely with the curatorial team to develop and implement online exhibitions and digital collections
- Work with the education team to develop educational resources and programs
- Manage the museum’s digital assets, including images, videos, and other digital content
- Collaborate with technical staff to ensure the smooth operation of the museum’s digital systems
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Museum Studies, Cultural Heritage, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a museum or cultural heritage institution
- Strong background in digital technologies, including online exhibitions, digital collections, and educational resources
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including curators, educators, and technical staff
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Museum Studies, Cultural Heritage, or related field
Experience
3-5 years of experience in a museum or cultural heritage institution
