Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Project Coordinator will lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of small-to-medium-scale renewable energy initiatives in rural and urban areas of Rwanda. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-departmental teams to design and implement renewable energy projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for solar, wind, and micro-hydro projects.
  • Engage with local communities, government agencies, and stakeholders to secure permits and partnerships.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in project management within the energy or environmental sector.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and GIS tools.
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s) in Energy Management or Sustainable Development are advantageous.

Experience

3-5 years of professional experience in energy project coordination, with a focus on renewable energy initiatives in developing regions.

Salary

3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
