We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Gakenke. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable practices across our operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote sustainable development in Rwanda.
Job Overview
As an Environmental Sustainability Consultant at Veolia Rwanda, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from waste management and recycling to energy efficiency and sustainable infrastructure development. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing sustainable practices across our operations
- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Collaborating with stakeholders to promote sustainable development in Rwanda
- Conducting environmental impact assessments and developing mitigation strategies
- Developing and implementing waste reduction and recycling programs
- Collaborating with local communities to promote sustainable development and environmental conservation
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable practices across Veolia Rwanda’s operations
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote sustainable development in Rwanda
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Develop and implement waste reduction and recycling programs
- Collaborate with local communities to promote sustainable development and environmental conservation
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental sustainability or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing sustainable practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
