Job Overview

The Retail Store Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day activities of the Kicukiro flagship store, ensuring operational excellence, high customer satisfaction, and achievement of sales targets. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the manager will oversee a multidisciplinary team, manage inventory, enforce merchandising standards, and implement safety and compliance protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise all store functions, including sales, customer service, merchandising, and loss prevention.
  • Develop and execute weekly and monthly sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with the supply chain team, and ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure product placement aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Analyze performance metrics, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluations for store staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations, as well as Shoprite’s internal policies.
  • Foster a customer‑centric culture, handling escalated complaints and driving loyalty initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute local promotions and community outreach programs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining service quality.

Salary
