Job Overview

The Environmental Sustainability Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies that minimize the environmental impact of Veolia’s operations in Rwanda. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving water and energy, and promoting sustainable practices throughout the organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental sustainability, with experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies. They will be able to work effectively with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and government agencies, to promote sustainable practices and reduce environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies that minimize the environmental impact of Veolia’s operations in Rwanda.
  • Conduct environmental assessments and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve water and energy, and promote sustainable practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and government agencies, to promote sustainable practices and reduce environmental impact.
  • Monitor and report on sustainability performance, including greenhouse gas emissions, water and energy consumption, and waste management.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in environmental sustainability, with experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and laws in Rwanda.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.

Experience

5 years of experience in environmental sustainability, with experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
