Job Overview
As an E-Commerce Operations Manager, you will lead the strategic execution of daily operations for Jumia’s Goma-based e-commerce division. This role involves optimizing supply chain logistics, managing cross-functional teams, and driving customer satisfaction through efficient order fulfillment and inventory management. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven insights to improve operational performance and support the company’s mission to empower African businesses through technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end e-commerce operations, including order processing, inventory control, and delivery coordination.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure timely product availability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, delivery times, and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve operational challenges and escalate critical issues to senior management.
- Lead training initiatives for operational staff to maintain high service standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in e-commerce operations or logistics management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, or BI platforms).
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory optimization techniques.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer-centric solutions.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.
Experience
3–5 years of progressive experience in e-commerce operations, logistics, or supply chain management. Experience in a fast-paced digital environment is preferred.
Salary
3,000,000 SSP – 4,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
