Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Agriculture Extension Specialist to join our team in Nyarugenge, Rwanda. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and training to farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders on the use of digital agriculture tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, experience with digital agriculture technologies, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and training to farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders on the use of digital agriculture tools and technologies
  • Develop and implement training programs for farmers and extension agents on the use of digital agriculture tools and technologies
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement digital agriculture projects and programs
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the product development team on the development of new digital agriculture tools and technologies

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in agriculture, extension services, or a related field
  • Experience with digital agriculture technologies, including precision agriculture, decision support systems, and data analytics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field

Experience

3-5 years of experience in agriculture, extension services, or a related field
