As a Digital Archivist, you will play a critical role in preserving and maintaining the IRC’s digital records and archives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital archiving strategy, ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of the IRC’s digital assets.

The Digital Archivist will work closely with the IRC’s Information Technology department to develop and implement a digital archiving strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall goals and objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in digital archiving, records management, and information technology.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital archiving strategy that aligns with the IRC’s overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Information Technology department to design and implement a digital archiving system that meets the IRC’s needs.
- Work with program staff to identify and prioritize digital assets for preservation and archiving.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for digital archiving and records management.
- Provide training and support to staff on digital archiving and records management best practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in digital archiving, records management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of digital archiving principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with digital archiving software and systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in digital archiving, records management, or a related field.
