Job Description
Easy and Possible Organization (EPO) is hiring a Deputy Director of Operations – EPO Media House to lead and manage its multi-platform media operations in Rwanda. This role is ideal for professionals seeking media management jobs in Rwanda, operations leadership roles, or NGO media sector opportunities in East Africa. The Deputy Director will oversee media operations, drive revenue growth, manage teams, and strengthen partnerships across all EPO media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Media Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of EPO Media House platforms including Isano Radio 92.0 FM, PPCM, Getlink, and digital channels
- Manage broadcasting schedules, content production, and outreach programs
- Ensure smooth technical operations including studio management and transmission quality
- Supervise live events, roadshows, and community engagement programs
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise journalists, presenters, producers, and technical teams
- Support staff development, performance management, and capacity building
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and operational excellence
Content & Editorial Oversight
- Ensure high-quality, ethical, and community-focused content
- Enforce compliance with media regulations and editorial standards
- Encourage innovation in programming and storytelling
Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Develop advertising, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities
- Lead sales, marketing, and revenue generation strategies
- Prepare tenders, bids, and proposals for projects and contracts
- Increase revenue through airtime sales and digital advertising
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with government bodies, NGOs, private sector, and donors
- Represent EPO Media House in forums, meetings, and partnership events
- Negotiate media distribution and content partnerships
- Manage donor relations and prepare impact-driven proposals
Strategic & Operational Support
- Support strategic planning and operational decision-making
- Recommend improvements for efficiency and cost optimization
- Monitor media trends and ensure competitive positioning
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communication, Journalism, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Master’s degree is an added advantage
- Minimum 3 years of experience in media management, broadcasting, or marketing
- Experience in NGO or community media sector is highly desirable
- Experience in business development and tendering processes required
- Age: not above 35 years
Language Requirements
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English, and French (written and spoken)
- Additional languages are an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in media operations and digital content management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Knowledge of broadcasting tools and digital media platforms
