Job Overview
Lead the development and implementation of sustainable tourism initiatives in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park region. This role requires strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and a commitment to eco-friendly practices. The position is ideal for professionals passionate about wildlife conservation and community-driven tourism.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute sustainable tourism projects aligned with conservation goals.
- Coordinate with local communities, government agencies, and international partners.
- Monitor and report on the environmental and social impact of tourism activities.
- Develop training programs for staff and partners on sustainable practices.
- Secure funding through grants and partnerships for tourism development.
Required Skills
- Expertise in project management and sustainable tourism frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of Rwanda’s tourism regulations and conservation policies.
- Proficiency in budgeting and grant writing.
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda preferred.
Education
