Job Overview
The Supply Chain Analytics Manager will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced analytics solutions that support Caterpillar Rwanda’s end‑to‑end supply chain operations. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and sales, to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain predictive demand forecasting models using statistical and machine‑learning techniques.
- Design interactive dashboards and visualizations to monitor supply chain KPIs such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment rates, and transportation costs.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to identify bottlenecks and recommend data‑driven process improvements.
- Lead root‑cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure data integrity and governance across multiple ERP and warehouse management systems.
- Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior analysts and promote a culture of analytical excellence within the department.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of supply chain concepts, including demand planning, inventory optimization, and logistics.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data integration techniques.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑centric mindset.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex insights to non‑technical audiences.
- Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or a Master’s degree in a quantitative field are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of professional experience in supply chain analytics, demand forecasting, or a similar analytical role within a manufacturing or heavy‑equipment environment. Demonstrated success in leading analytics projects that resulted in measurable cost savings or service improvements is essential.
