H1: Save the Children Rwanda Case Management Officer

The Case Management Officer will provide direct support to survivors of violence against women and children while ensuring confidentiality, dignity, and safety throughout all interventions. The role involves conducting assessments, preparing case plans, coordinating referrals, supporting psychosocial activities, and working closely with communities, volunteers, schools, and humanitarian partners.

This position requires professionals with strong interpersonal communication skills, experience in case management, and commitment to child safeguarding and humanitarian principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide case management services for vulnerable children and families
• Conduct assessments, registrations, safety planning, and follow-up visits
• Support survivors of domestic violence, child abuse, exploitation, and early marriage
• Maintain confidential case files and documentation
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, legal aid services, schools, and community stakeholders
• Support psychosocial support groups and community outreach activities
• Participate in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and protection standards
• Conduct awareness activities on violence against women and children
• Work closely with volunteers and local community structures

Education Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• University degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Social Administration, Population and Development, Psychology, Community Development, or related field
• Additional certifications in child protection, psychosocial support, safeguarding, or gender-based violence are advantageous

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience in case management, child protection, social work, or humanitarian programs
• Experience working with vulnerable communities, refugees, women, and children
• Experience in community outreach and psychosocial support activities
• Previous NGO or humanitarian organization experience is preferred
• Experience in emergency or refugee settings is an added advantage
