Job Overview
This role is ideal for professionals passionate about driving public health initiatives in rural Rwanda. The Public Health Program Coordinator will lead community outreach, coordinate with local stakeholders, and ensure the successful implementation of health programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Rwanda’s healthcare goals while working in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute public health campaigns targeting maternal and child health, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with local health authorities to align programs with national health priorities.
- Monitor and evaluate program impact using data-driven methodologies.
- Train community health workers on best practices for patient engagement and education.
- Prepare reports for donors and stakeholders on program progress and outcomes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in public health program management in low-resource settings.
- Strong leadership and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English.
- Ability to work independently in remote locations.
li>Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS).
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in public health program coordination, preferably in Rwanda or similar contexts.
Salary
500,000 – 800,000 SSP per month, depending on experience.
