Job Overview
This role involves conducting geotechnical assessments, analyzing mineral deposits, and ensuring compliance with international mining standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical modeling for mining operations
- Evaluate rock mechanics and stability for underground and open-pit mines
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design safe and efficient mining methods
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for resource extraction plans
- Monitor environmental impacts and implement mitigation strategies
Required Skills
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., Rocscience, AutoCAD)

Education
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in geotechnical engineering are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mining or geotechnical engineering roles, preferably in East African mining contexts. Experience with gold or mineral resource projects is preferred.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 Rwandan Shillings (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
