Key Job Responsibilities (JD)
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for:
Maintenance Planning & Execution
- Plan, develop, and implement effective maintenance programs for machinery and industrial equipment.
- Ensure proper execution of preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
- Coordinate corrective maintenance activities to maintain operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Assign daily maintenance tasks to technicians and maintenance staff.
- Supervise, guide, and evaluate maintenance teams to ensure quality performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Equipment Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults in machinery and equipment.
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns and coordinate fast repair solutions.
- Identify root causes of recurring technical issues and recommend improvements.
Quality & Safety Management
- Inspect completed maintenance work to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures across all maintenance activities.
- Promote workplace discipline and adherence to company safety regulations.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate maintenance reports, repair logs, and equipment service records.
- Communicate equipment issues, maintenance requirements, and performance updates to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager.
- Support maintenance audits and operational reporting.
Additional Duties
- Provide mentorship and training support to maintenance technicians.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A0 or A1 Degree/Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechanical Maintenance
- Industrial Engineering
- Or a related technical field
Additional certifications in industrial maintenance, machinery servicing, technical operations, safety management, or engineering supervision will be considered an advantage.
Experience Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates should have:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in maintenance work.
- Practical experience in machinery repair, equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is highly desirable.
