Job Overview

The Investment Promotion Officer will be based in Kirehe and will serve as a key liaison between prospective investors and the RDB. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential investment projects in the Kirehe region and across Rwanda.
  • Conduct detailed market research and feasibility studies to support investor decision‑making.
  • Prepare and present investment proposals, business cases, and incentive packages.
  • Facilitate meetings, site visits, and negotiations between investors and relevant government agencies.
  • Provide end‑to‑end support to investors, from initial inquiry through project implementation and after‑care.

  • Monitor policy developments and recommend regulatory improvements to enhance the investment climate.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and research abilities with a focus on economic and sectoral trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; French is an advantage.
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite and data visualization tools.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP) are highly desirable.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in investment promotion, business development, economic development, or a comparable field, preferably within a government or international organization.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 800,000 to 1,200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based incentives may also be provided.
