Job Overview

Gabiro Agribusiness Hub Ltd (GAH Ltd) is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Specialist to support the organization’s growing workforce and strengthen HR systems within a fast-paced agribusiness environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational culture development, performance management, and HR compliance while supporting the Hub’s mission to advance modern agriculture and commercial farming investment in Rwanda.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Develop strategies to attract and retain high-quality talent
  • Collaborate with department heads to forecast staffing needs
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline

Employee Relations & Culture Development

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment
  • Address employee concerns and manage conflict resolution
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and performance-driven culture
  • Support employee engagement and workplace wellbeing initiatives

Performance Management

  • Develop and improve performance management systems
  • Support managers with KPI setting and performance appraisals
  • Manage underperformance and encourage continuous feedback
  • Promote a results-oriented work culture

Learning & Development

  • Identify employee training and development needs
  • Organize professional development programs and workshops
  • Support succession planning and career development initiatives
  • Encourage continuous learning aligned with organizational goals

HR Policies, Compliance & Administration

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Rwanda labor laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Support HR administrative operations effectively

Compensation & Benefits

  • Support employee compensation and benefits administration
  • Ensure fairness and competitiveness of benefit programs
  • Align compensation structures with organizational objectives

HR Analytics & Strategic Support

  • Track and analyze HR metrics and workforce trends
  • Provide reports and insights for leadership decision-making
  • Support strategic HR planning and organizational growth initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience in startup or fast-paced private sector environments preferred
  • Proven expertise in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management
  • Experience implementing HR systems and organizational culture initiatives
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are an added advantage

  • Strong understanding of Rwanda labor laws and HR best practices
