Job Overview
EY Rwanda is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to design and implement robust data governance frameworks. This role is critical for ensuring data integrity, compliance, and security across EY’s operations in Rwanda. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Lead data quality initiatives and ensure compliance with local and international data regulations.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to define data ownership and stewardship roles.
- Implement data classification, retention, and privacy protocols.
- Monitor data governance metrics and report on performance improvements.
- Conduct training sessions on data governance best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data governance, data management, or compliance roles.
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, PDPA).
- Proficiency in data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Advanced certification in Data Governance (CDMP, CGDP) preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in data governance, IT compliance, or related fields.
- Experience in the East African market is advantageous.
Salary
1,500,000 SSP – 2,500,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
