We are currently seeking a highly skilled and strategic Supply Chain Logistics Manager to lead our operations in Musanze. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to optimize delivery routes and reduce operational costs.
- Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, stock auditing, and space optimization.
- Coordinate with customs agents and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless import and export processes.
- Lead and mentor the local logistics team, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Negotiate contracts with third-party transport providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable service.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across all logistics sites.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring on-time delivery and proactive communication.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Supply Chain Management (SCM) software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven track record of team development.
- Advanced analytical skills for demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
- Deep knowledge of Rwandan transport laws and international shipping regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; knowledge of French is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
Education
The candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) or professional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution) will be highly regarded during the selection process.
Experience
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management is required. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in managing large-scale warehouse operations and leading teams in a corporate environment. Experience working with international logistics firms or managing cross-border trade within East Africa is strongly preferred.
