Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainable Agriculture Systems Engineer to join our team in Rulindo, Rwanda. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing sustainable agriculture systems that promote environmental conservation and improve crop yields. The position will involve working closely with farmers, agricultural experts, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural engineering, environmental science, or a related field, and will be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement sustainable agriculture systems that promote environmental conservation and improve crop yields
- Work closely with farmers, agricultural experts, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions
- Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices in sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation
- Develop and implement training programs for farmers and agricultural experts on sustainable agriculture practices
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement company-wide sustainability initiatives
Required Skills:
- Strong background in agricultural engineering, environmental science, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel frequently to rural areas
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, or a related field
Salary: 2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per year
