Job Overview
The Digital Agriculture Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to improve agricultural productivity and efficiency. This will involve working closely with farmers, agricultural professionals, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in agriculture and technology, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. They will be based in Gakenke, Rwanda and will report to the Regional Manager for Digital Agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital solutions to improve agricultural productivity and efficiency
- Work closely with farmers, agricultural professionals, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital innovation in agriculture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement digital solutions
- Provide training and support to farmers and agricultural professionals on the use of digital solutions
Required Skills
- Strong background in agriculture and technology
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel frequently to rural areas
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in digital agriculture or a related field
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per annum
