Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive financial statement analysis and cash‑flow modeling for loan applicants.
- Prepare detailed credit risk assessment reports, including risk ratings and recommendation summaries.
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure loan terms that align with risk appetite and client needs.
- Monitor and review existing loan portfolios, identifying early warning signals and recommending corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of credit risk policies, scoring models, and underwriting guidelines.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, market developments, and industry best practices affecting credit risk.
- Contribute to periodic risk reporting for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in financial modeling and ratio analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear risk reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with credit risk software (e.g., Moody’s Analytics, SAS) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of Rwandan banking regulations and Basel III requirements.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.

Salary
