Job Overview

KPMG Rwanda is seeking a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst to evaluate and manage cybersecurity threats across diverse industries. This role involves analyzing vulnerabilities, developing risk mitigation plans, and ensuring compliance with global cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with IT teams, stakeholders, and external partners to protect organizational data and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments for clients and internal systems.
  • Design and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor emerging cyber threats and provide actionable recommendations for proactive defense.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies aligned with international frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security protocols into business operations.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to enhance organizational cybersecurity practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on risk evaluation and threat modeling.
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, encryption).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting risk assessments to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address complex cybersecurity challenges.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A master’s degree or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA) are advantageous.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity risk analysis, preferably in a professional services or enterprise environment. Demonstrated success in managing cybersecurity projects and advising clients on risk mitigation is required.

Salary

500,000 – 800,000 Rwandan Francs (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
