Job Overview
Deloitte Rwanda seeks a dynamic Carbon Footprint Analyst to join its Sustainability Consulting team in Ruhengeri. This role will focus on assessing, analyzing, and reporting carbon emissions for clients across sectors, helping them align with global climate targets. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct carbon footprint assessments for corporate clients using standardized frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol).
- Develop customized sustainability reports and carbon reduction strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design decarbonization roadmaps.
- Monitor and analyze environmental data to identify emission reduction opportunities.
- Provide training and guidance to clients on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) compliance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in carbon accounting software (e.g., Carbon Trust, EcoVadis).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and reporting.
- Knowledge of international climate agreements (e.g., Paris Agreement) and local environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for client presentations and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently and in team environments under tight deadlines.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
- Preferred: Certification in Carbon Management or Climate Change (e.g., IEMA, CFA).
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in environmental consulting, sustainability analysis, or related roles.
- Proven track record in carbon footprint projects or ESG reporting.
Salary
500,000 – 700,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and performance.
