Job Purpose

The Procurement Specialist will manage sourcing of goods, services, and works, including handling tenders, evaluating bids, and ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare bidding documents, bid reports, and evaluation summaries
  • Manage tender processes and communicate outcomes to bidders
  • Liaise with departments on technical evaluation of bids
  • Coordinate contract reviews with suppliers and internal teams
  • Process requisitions and generate purchase orders
  • Conduct supplier vetting and follow up with security teams
  • Collaborate with logistics and finance for payment follow-ups
  • Develop terms of reference with user departments
  • Request and evaluate supplier samples
  • Identify and shortlist suppliers
  • Maintain proper procurement records and ensure compliance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement with 5+ years experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law with CIPS Level 4 Diploma and 5+ years experience
  • Willingness to pursue CIPS certification (if not already obtained)
  • Knowledge of logistics operations (preferably cross-border trade)
  • Strong understanding of Incoterms
  • Aviation industry experience (advantage)
  • High integrity and ethical standards
  • Basic negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Fluent in English (French is an added advantage)
  • Strong analytical, teamwork, and communication skills
