Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement post-quantum cryptographic algorithms to secure 5G and future 6G network architectures.
- Conduct rigorous security audits of existing encryption standards to identify vulnerabilities to Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms.
- Lead the research and development of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems across regional fiber networks.
- Collaborate with international standards bodies to define the next generation of global encryption protocols.
- Mentor junior cryptographers and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Publish original research in peer-reviewed journals to establish Nokia as a thought leader in quantum security.
- Coordinate with government regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with national security standards for data encryption.
Required Skills
- Expert-level knowledge of lattice-based, code-based, and multivariate cryptography.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and Rust for implementing cryptographic primitives.
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and the mathematical foundations of quantum computing.

Education
The successful candidate must possess a PhD in Quantum Physics, Pure Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related field with a specialization in Cryptography. A post-doctoral fellowship in quantum information science is highly preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in cryptographic research or cybersecurity engineering is required. Candidates must demonstrate a history of developing secure systems that have been deployed in real-world telecommunications or financial environments.
