Job Overview

The Lead Quantum Cryptography Researcher will spearhead the development of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) protocols and post-quantum cryptographic standards within our regional R&D center. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and optimization of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) architectures for fiber-optic networks.
  • Develop post-quantum cryptographic algorithms to protect critical infrastructure from future quantum attacks.
  • Publish high-impact research papers in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences.
  • Collaborate with government regulatory bodies in Rwanda to establish standards for quantum-secure communications.
  • Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates in the application of quantum information theory.
  • Conduct rigorous security audits of existing encryption protocols to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee the procurement and calibration of quantum optical hardware and laser systems.

Required Skills
