Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team in Musanze, Rwanda. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in geophysics, with a focus on seismic hazard assessment and mitigation.
The role will involve working with a team of scientists and researchers to design and implement field experiments, collect and analyze data, and develop new methods and techniques for seismic hazard assessment.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field, and will have a strong background in seismic hazard assessment and mitigation. They will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in geophysics, with a focus on seismic hazard assessment and mitigation
- Design and implement field experiments to collect data on seismic activity
- Analyze data and develop new methods and techniques for seismic hazard assessment
- Work with a team of scientists and researchers to develop and implement new research projects
- Communicate research findings to stakeholders through publications, presentations, and reports
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field
