Job Overview
This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining sustainable water technology systems to address water scarcity and contamination challenges in rural and urban communities. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, government agencies, and local stakeholders to deliver scalable water solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the installation of water purification, distribution, and conservation systems.
- Conduct site assessments to identify water resource challenges and opportunities for technological intervention.
- Develop project proposals and technical documentation for funding and regulatory compliance.
- Train local technicians and community members on system maintenance and operation.
- Monitor water quality and system performance using advanced diagnostic tools.
Required Skills
- Expertise in water treatment technologies, including filtration, desalination, and solar-powered systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software for system design and modeling.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Knowledge of Rwandan water policy and environmental regulations.
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Resource Management, or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in water technology, environmental engineering, or sustainable infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in managing water system installations in developing regions.
Salary
3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and project impact.
