Job Overview

As a Renewable Energy Systems Integrator, you will design, implement, and optimize hybrid energy systems combining solar, wind, and grid technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy integrated renewable energy systems for grid-connected and off-grid applications
• Conduct feasibility studies for solar-wind hybrid projects in collaboration with local municipalities
• Optimize energy storage solutions using lithium-ion and flow battery technologies
• Ensure compliance with Rwanda’s National Renewable Energy Standards and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) guidelines
• Provide technical support for smart grid monitoring platforms

Required Skills

• Proficiency in HOMER Pro or similar energy modeling software
• Experience with SCADA systems for real-time energy management
• Strong analytical skills for load forecasting and system performance evaluation
• Knowledge of IEC 61727 (PV systems) and IEC 61400 (wind turbines) standards
• Excellent project management capabilities for multi-disciplinary teams

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, or related field
• Master’s Degree preferred in Energy Systems or Sustainable Development
• Professional certifications (e.g., NABCEP, CEM) considered an asset

Experience

• 3-5 years in renewable energy system design and implementation
• Proven track record in smart grid technology integration
• Experience working in East African energy markets

Salary

3,500,000 SSP – 4,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
