Job Overview

Adobe Rwanda is seeking a Digital Accessibility Compliance Officer to ensure that all digital products and services meet international accessibility standards. This role is critical in fostering inclusive technology solutions that cater to users with diverse needs. The position is based in Kigali and offers opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects with global impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct accessibility audits of digital products, including websites, software, and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement accessibility best practices and remediate compliance issues.
  • Develop and maintain accessibility guidelines aligned with WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 standards.
  • Provide training and resources to developers, designers, and stakeholders on accessibility principles.
  • Monitor emerging accessibility technologies and advocate for inclusive design practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in digital accessibility compliance and remediation.
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and EN 301 549 standards.
  • Proficiency in using accessibility testing tools (e.g., WAVE, AXE, JAWS).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to translate accessibility requirements into actionable development tasks.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in digital accessibility (e.g., CPwD, ACP) are a plus.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in digital accessibility, preferably in a product development or compliance role. Experience working with global teams is advantageous.

Salary

4,000,000 – 6,000,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
