Job Overview
Maersk Logistics Rwanda seeks a Supply Chain Resilience Specialist to design and implement strategies that mitigate risks and enhance the robustness of supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring seamless logistics flows amid evolving challenges such as geopolitical shifts, climate disruptions, and market volatility. The position is based in Gisenyi, a strategic hub for cross-border trade in Rwanda.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in supply chain networks.
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, including alternative sourcing and transportation routes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate resilience strategies into daily operations.
- Monitor global and regional market trends to anticipate potential disruptions.
- Implement technology-driven solutions for real-time supply chain visibility and analytics.
- Provide training and guidance to regional logistics teams on best practices in risk management.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in supply chain risk management and business continuity planning.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Knowledge of regional trade regulations and cross-border logistics in East Africa.
- Proficiency in scenario modeling and impact assessment techniques.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Advanced degree (Master’s) or certifications (CSCP, SCP) preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain resilience, risk management, or logistics operations.
- Previous work in multinational or cross-border logistics environments.
Salary
3,500,000 SSP – 5,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
