Job Overview
This role involves spearheading the development of innovative food products tailored to Rwandan consumers while aligning with global sustainability goals. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet market demands and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prototype new food products using sustainable ingredients.
- Conduct market research to identify consumer preferences and trends.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to optimize production processes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Partner with suppliers to source ethical and sustainable raw materials.
Required Skills
- Expertise in food formulation and sensory analysis.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations (ISO 22000, HACCP).
- Proficiency in cross-functional project management.
- Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field.
- Advanced degree (Master’s) preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- 3-5 years in food product development or R&D roles.
- Experience in launching products in emerging markets.
Salary
3,500,000 – 5,000,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.
