Job Overview
Siemens Rwanda is seeking an Industrial Automation Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automation solutions for manufacturing clients. This role is pivotal in advancing Rwanda’s industrialization agenda through digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure industrial automation systems using PLCs, SCADA, and robotics.
- Conduct site assessments to identify automation needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation with existing production lines.
- Provide technical support during system installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Train clients on system operation and maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley, or similar automation software.
- Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., ABB, Fanuc) and motion control systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex automation issues.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and IoT integration.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Automation.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Siemens Certified Automation Engineer) are advantageous.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation projects.
- Proven track record in manufacturing environments.
Salary
3,500,000 SSP – 5,000,000 SSP annually, based on experience and performance.
