Job Overview
The Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and optimization of MTN Rwanda’s core and access network elements. This role is critical to ensuring high‑quality service delivery, network reliability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain core network equipment including routers, switches, and transmission systems.

- Strong knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, LTE, and 5G fundamentals.

- Proficiency in network troubleshooting, performance analysis, and fault isolation.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to technical excellence.
Experience
Candidates should possess 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in network operations, preferably within a large telecom environment. Experience with large‑scale network deployments, performance tuning, and vendor management will be considered a strong advantage.
Salary
