Position Summary
MTN Rwanda Ltd is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to strengthen the organization’s security posture, safeguard critical digital assets, and support secure business operations. The successful candidate will contribute to cybersecurity strategy, threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Security Operations
- Monitor security systems and identify cyber threats.
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate response activities.
- Manage security alerts through SIEM platforms.
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis and reporting.
- Support cyber defense initiatives across enterprise infrastructure.
Vulnerability Management
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing coordination.
- Recommend remediation measures for identified risks.
- Monitor patch management compliance.
- Conduct security audits and technical reviews.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Support ISO 27001 and regulatory compliance programs.
- Perform cybersecurity risk assessments.
- Assist with third-party security evaluations.
Network & Infrastructure Security
- Secure cloud, network, and endpoint environments.
- Implement access control and identity management policies.
- Support firewall and intrusion detection technologies.
- Enhance business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Master’s Degree is considered advantageous.
Experience Requirements
- 3–7 years of cybersecurity or information security experience.
- Experience with enterprise security operations centers preferred.
- Exposure to cloud security and telecommunications environments is beneficial.
