Job Overview
Ecole Internationale de Kigali is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher to join its academic team in Butare. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom instruction, supporting student academic development, and contributing to a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
The teacher will design and implement effective lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum standards while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative learning among students. This role requires the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and to integrate modern educational technologies into classroom instruction.
The position also involves working closely with fellow educators, school administrators, and parents to ensure students achieve their academic goals and develop important life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned classroom lessons that meet academic standards.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and instructional resources.
Assess student progress through tests, assignments, presentations, and class participation.
Maintain an organized and positive classroom learning environment.
Implement effective classroom management techniques to support student discipline.
Provide academic mentoring and individualized support to students.
Integrate educational technology and digital learning platforms into teaching activities.
Participate in curriculum planning meetings and teacher training programs.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and performance.
Organize and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and academic competitions.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative learning among students.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or subject specialization.
3–5 years teaching experience in primary or secondary education.
Strong knowledge of curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and student assessment strategies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and classroom management skills.
Ability to use digital learning tools, educational software, and online teaching platforms.
Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Salary & Benefits
💰 Annual Salary: RWF 4,100,000 – RWF 6,000,000
